wow what a hit . The part is called the lower trailing arm JEG'S sells them for about 250 for hotchkis but you can finde some other ones cheeper .
is it possible to drive with a broken one?
can i pick one up at napa or some where cheap

Depends on how bad it's broken. If it isn't broke right in half you might be ok. If it's bent a fair bit then your rear alignment will be off wearing your tires quickly.
There is a good chance you bent the axle too. I helped a guy change an axle bout a year ago. Hit a curb and he wrecked only the rims/tires and axle. Nothing else. You must have taken a harder hit than that.
Support the rear with jackstands, run the car in drive and watch to see if the wheels are wobbling a bit. If a wheel wobbles then you know you have a bent axle.
