Help with Richmond 373's

Recently installed a set of Richmond 373's. I now have a whine on acceleration and coast. All tooth contacts and backlash and bearing pre-loads are to the supplied specs. I used GM 80-90 gear oil and the limited slip additive. Has anyone experienced this, and if so can there be anything done to correct it. Any advise would be appreciated.

It would help if you used marking compound & posted pics of the pattern.

richmonds tend to make more noise because of the way they cut the gears for more strength. if you have the contact pattern, pinion depth, pinion preload, and back lash correct it may be the nature of the gears and nothing you did wrong.

Thanks for the info. Was just wondering if I tightened or loosened the backlash, would this possibly help any with my whining noise? Just looking for possibilities thats all.
