Powertrax or not

I have a 3.73 open rear and a 2.73 posi. Both have drum brakes. I have a built 355 with a th350 and stall convertor. 28" tires so I want the 3.73 gears. Better option to put the Powertrax in the open rear or change gears in the posi? The cost is about the same $400 or so. Any suggestions? Anybody use the Powertrax?

I've had the Powertrax No-Slip in my 10-bolt for about 25K miles. It works very well, especially if you get an aluminum diff cover with the preload bolts for the main caps. Mine used to "pop" around turns, but it's become much quieter since I installed the new cover. It hooks up great off the line, but can be a bit of a handful in the rain if you're not careful with the throttle.

Hope that helps!

I love my locker, but it's currently out of the car for a bit until I get my new springs. Since it's been out, I can't seem to stop sliding around corners when it's wet out, I never realized how much it actually improved traction until now.
