ok, so i have everything but the oil cooler lines and the top tranny mount bolts out, what do u guys use to get those bolts out, i can't seem to get anything on them that i can turn, tried wrench and socket, can't get a wrench to turn and can't get a socket up there, thought about taking the exhaust off, but that is so rusted on i don't think i can get it off

it seems weird, but about 2.5 to 3 feet worth of extensions and a swivel type 9/16 socket do nicely. this is what i have found works. it also works putting them back in. you go in from the back of the transmission up the tranny tunnel.

thanks, thats what one other guy i talked to said, but his info was from a fourth gen w/T56
so its still gonna be somewhat of a pain i'm assuming, cause the bolts are kinda hard to see, there are just 2 up high there right one on each side, cause i have four outta the tranny so far

Jeff's idea works good.....Or if you can't do that , jack up the tranny 'til it hits the tunnel, that will usually give you enough room to get them from the top w/ an end wrench.
