Hi, I searched all around for ajusting the TV cable and I found it.
I've done everything correctly and I tried it two ways.
I first pressed the button, pulled the cable housing all the way back and manualy WOT the TBI.
I went for a drive and it seemed a bit stiff shifting.
SO I went ahead and pressed the button again, moved the housing back again, and this time I WOT with my gas pedal.
Same crap when i drove it. The shifts were high and it shifted kinda stiff.
SO I pulled out the TV cable a bit more than it did at WOT and the shifts are pretty smooth, however whenver I downshift as am coming to a stop the tranny does not shift all that smoothly.
I am not sure of how to adjust my cable anymore. I follwed everything in the tech article and did it both ways with a pedal and manualy.
Now, I am scared my tranny is going to *** up.
The reason I am adjusting the cable is because I added the blaster MSD coil which moved my cables a bit. Just enough for them to make my tranny a bit sloppy.
Now the tranny works a lot better, but I am still worried.
Can someone tell me what shift points are most ideal for 700r4?
So that way I can kinda gauge if I got it in the ball park or not.
Also, just cuz I freaked out about it, I installed a tranny cooler in hopes of helping the tranny, just incase I did *** up the TV cable.
What do you guys recomend.

dont no if this will help but i adjusted mine the same way and it still shifts way to f**** smooth, but i have a leak somewere, i think a good 700r4 i supposed to shift kinda stiff, at about 1/4 pedal mine shifts out of 1st around 15mph out of 2nd around 30mph and out of 3rd around 45mph
I am just not sure how to adjust the tranny properly, the way its described in the manual and here on the website just seems like its not working for my cable.
How bad would be to have the tranny shift a bit higher. I think I got it pretty close. At WOT she shifts at aroun 4200 to 4500 RPM. Is that good???

if the yellow marking on ur tach is at 4500rpm then, yeah to me that sounds about right, the yellow on my tach is at 5000 RPM and at WOT it shifts out of first at 5000 and out of 2nd at about 4700 RPM

WOT is shouldnt come out of any gear until 5k, i had the same problem with my TBI/TV cable when i switched it to a Carb intake and adapter plate...never did get it right and switched it to a 350 carbed engine and it just finally broke...4 years after to fact!!
Ok, my tranny is now shifting at around 4500rpm, and I am yellow at 5k. So, I think am fine. I'll do some more fine tuning tomrow. I'll let you guys know how it goes.
