I would assume the bellhousings are different. I don't think you can use a V6 tranny with a V8. If your building up a V8 your probably going to need to build your V8 T5 too. It's ***** as hell.

The bellhousings are different, but the trans bolt pattern is the same for 3rd gens between v6 and v8 cars. The v6 T5 uses a 14 spline input shaft that won't work with a v8 clutch disc (26 spline), but you cna get a disc to allow you to run the v6 trans behind a v8.

The question is do you really want to? All v6 T5s are NWC in teh 3rd gen, which means they are only rated to 250 lbs/ft. '88-'92 v8 T5s are WC which are rated to 300 lbs/ft, but are also upgradable to 500 lbs/ft with the right parts.

So would my T5 V8 borg warner fit on my V6??? If all I have to do is swap the bellhousings and get the V8 clutch, I would be very happy. Being as if I have a beefcake V6 and all with a V8 T5 sitting on the floor of my garage.....

If anyone could get actual part number confirmation on this, I would be very stoked.

Anything is doable.

Theirs a few companys out there that will sell you an adapter to put a 90* bellhousing on a 60* block.

Yes, you can use a V8 T5 behind a V6 with a V6 bellhousing and the proper clutch. I would just call Centerforce or RAM and tell them what you're doing and order the clutch they spec.
