what clutch kit and flywheel with 89 t5
well im gonna be picking up an 89 T5(world class), and i dont think re-using the stock clutch would be a smart movie, so im wondering what clutch i should get and what flywheel should i get since im going from auto to manual. also the motor is from a 72 halfton so its a 2 piece rear main seal.

Use the flywheel for 83-85 F body with L69 (VIN code G) 305 5-speed.
Any good quality clutch will work. Just pick which one you want, for the stock application (83-92 F body V8).

You might find the following link interesting:

I'm running a Centerforce II kit and the GM lightweight (the one-piece rear main seal version) on my current set-up. Very nice.

so purchasing a clutch has NOTHING to do with my engine being from 1972 and is 2 piece RMS right? just purchase the clutch kit according to the transmission if its from a 1989 camaro 5.0L v8

Doesn't matter if your engine is a 1955.
Doesn't matter if your transmission is 87-back or 88-up.
Doesn't matter whether your block has a 1-piece or a 2-piece rear main seal.
Doesn't matter whether your actuator is hydraulic or linkage.
All that matters, is that it fits 83-92 Camaro/Firebird 305.
Think about it.... look up a few clutches.... 83 was linkage, 84 up is hydraulic; 83-85 is 2-piece RMS, 86-up is 1-piece; the trans change was between 87 & 88; yet, the clutch is the same throughout all that.
I'd suggest a Centerforce Dual Friction. Although, any good quality name-brand clutch will work great. I've used at least a dozen different mfrs over the years, with good results every time. The thing that makes the most difference is how well it's installed. Get the flywheel resurfaced, MAKE SURE YOU REPLACE THE PILOT BEARING (or install one, in your case), put in a new throwout bearing and MAKE SURE YOU PUT IT ON THE FORK RIGHT, put the fork on its ball stud right, and so on; and it will all be good.
