Car: 2005 Lincoln LS, 83' Z28
Engine: 242 DOHC and an empty engine bay.
Transmission: 5R55S, T5 soon to be auto
Axle/Gears: 3.58s and soon to be 4.10s
V6 700r4

are converters for the V8 and V6 the same? Also whats a good company to buy one from for a V6? Thanks

Car: 85 Monte Carlo, 93 C1500, 98 Neon
Engine: 355, 4.3L, 2.0 DOHC
Transmission: T5, 4L60E, T350
Axle/Gears: 2.73, 3.42, 3.94
From my experience, the torque converters for the V6 and V8 700R4 are NOT the same. I was also kind of hoping they were, but when I mocked up one of my 6'er converters to a V8 flexplate, it did not line up at all.

The manufacturing company probably doesn't matter a whole lot IMO.

no it wont fit for sure, but torque converters for a 700 are under 100 bucks.
