9 bolt parts more info found

okay guys after a week of searching here is what I found.

Miles at 9bolt.com obviously has some stuff.
TA performance makes a cover.
and diff technics in australia can get the following:
3.91 or 4.10 gears 350.00
full spool 300.00 (28 and 31 spline)
install kit (major) 110.00
custom detroit locker 1265.00 (ouch!!!!)
mini spool 75.00
shipping for kit, gears, spool 150.00 have in 3 days fed ex.

moser here in indiana can make 28 or 31 spline axles for a little over 400.00

I think Im going to go the ford nine route since I have a center section already and can get the whole housing for a 3rd gen with axles for 950.00 from moser but I wanted to let everyone know what I found.

It really is a shame gm cut cost and quit using the diff, I found several guys running 9 and 10 second commodores and holdens with a simple spool and gears. And they have had the diff for about 30 years now.

c ya and good hunting

I forgot to mention that a company there called Romac makes full spools and mini spools, and a company by the name of Lokka Lock Right (just Lock right here) makes a locker also but never could get prices.

I think they still do use the rear end. In fact I have been told that the GTO uses an independant vers of the 9 bolt and the gears and diff's and some other parts are the same. I have not been able to confirm this though. Does anybody know if this is true? If so it may help the aftermarket for our rears.
