Weird Slave Cylinder Cover Problem...it wont fit back on!!!
i recently pulled my 305 (leaving the tranny in the car) and replaced it with a 383. with a little fighting the motor went onto the tranny and i bolted it back up. but now the metal cover that covers the tranny fork and bolts to the slave wont go back on the bellhousing!!!
one hole will line up but the other side of the cover hits the tranny tunnel.
what could be causing this and how can it be fixed??? i need to bleed the clutch
