quick question

i was reading in the new gm high tech performance mag the the buick guys are lockin there tcc by means of a toggle swithc to lower ets i was wondering how its doing that and will it work for my 700???? it said somethin like it turns it to a clutch???? how dose this work thanks

Check the tech articles on this site. There's one that explains how to hook up a manual override switch for your converter lockup.

I've never tried it myself, but I think the basic theory behind it is that if you lock up the converter clutch early, you eliminate any slippage of the converter, which gives you a faster takeoff and shifts. I could be wrong though.
