Converter Sideplay???
Hey just a quick question.
I took out the stock converter in my 87' GTA to put in a Pro Yank 3400 lockup.
I noticed that if I shake my stock converter in a side to side motion the things inside move back and forth. Is this normal or something to be concerned about?
Also, If I stick my finger in the converter hole and press on the gears sideways I can move it about 1/16-1/8"ish.
Note: This is about my stock converter.
Opinions??

I wouldnt worry about it. The input shaft keep everything located. Ive noticed the same thing on all the ones Ive handled. The assembly inside will move around little when not installed on the transmission.
