swapping to disc rear end and need some help

swapping to disc rear end and need some help

i am going to get a rear from an 87 Z28 that has a 3.23 ratio and disc brakes and is posi...I have a 92RS 305,T-5 my rear is a drum, peg leg with a 3.08....will i have to change my master cyl or the proportioning valve for the disc to work right or is it a bolt in application.....and will this affect my speedo and if so is there a correction for it...thanks for any help and if there is a thread here to help me please point me in that direction

you'll need to change the proportioning valve.

will the master cyl work...the reason i ask is because they are two diff part# at the parts store for the two cars...and thanks

Axle/Gears: bunch of 10 bolts how scary is that
You don't have to change anything. Its personal preference of how far you want to push your brake in.

Like 91banditt2 says, you should change the proportioning valve. Otherwise, the rear brakes will not be as effective as they should be.
