Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: 323 std
quick question

i have a 92 rs camaro with a 305 tbi. i wana know if i should have posi. only one wheel turns but i was wondering if maybe the posi cluthes wore out. thats what i was told from an unreliable source

RPO's only tell you what it rolled out of the factory with 14 years ago, it could have 3 different rears in it by now!

True, but it's easier than pulling a cover and refilling with oil. (if it's still stock that is)

An RPO code is the sticker filled with 3 digit numbers/letters that stand for some sort of option that came with the car. G80 means the car had positraction, if it does not have it, than you do not have posi. It is a sticker about 3-4" x 6" usually in the glove box/center console.

Also, another easy way to do it is drive down the highway at 76 mph, and put it in 3rd (1:1 ratio). Whatever the RPM is at that is your gear ratio. Such as 3400 rpm = 3.42 gears, 2700 = 2.73 gears.
