torque converter too "tight?"'

Is it possible for the torque converter to be too tight in my car? I put a factory replacement 86 TPI converter behind my LT1 and I have to press hard on the brakes to keep the car stopped. It only idles at 850 RPM's but the car is lurching forward unless I have the brake fully depressed. I was wondering if going with maybe a 2200-2400 stall would fix this probem?

you sure you don't have a problem with brakes, booster, air in the lines, ect?
I've never heard of a tq converter being to tight. maybe see if you are at the correct idle too. i'm normally at 550-600 at normal op temp with a 700r4 tranny

The car stops great with highway driving but that doesn't mean there isn't a little bit of air in the system. I will try setting the idle a little lower and rebleeding the brakes.
