alrite dual gate guys i am having a hell of a time getting this shifter in and correcting properly


Problems
1- the small white clip from the neutral safety switch will not stay inside the actuator hole for the life of me
(a) the clip just barely slides in and will come out with vibration even when the switch is properly tightened down
(b)reverse lights are not coming on

2-column lock cable is not working properly like it should
(a)key is difficult and funny to turn to get starter to engage
(b)shifter can still be shifted through all gears even when car is off

3-how did u guys use the stock shifter cable? mine was at least 2-3 inches too short
(a) my 3-4 gears are also sorta mushed together if that makes sense, there really isnt any clicking into place for those gears

the only positive right now is that i have everything aligned but i am getting really frustrated here...........any help would be appreciated thanks
