B&M megashifter questions
Hey all. Just curious how hard is it install one of these things? Also how much taller is it than the original shifter? I have an 86 IROC and i like the height of the current shifter just not the way it feels if i want to shift manually. Thanks

Well, I installed one of these about 8 years ago. I installed it when I was doing my T-5 to TH350 swap.
I really is a cake walk especially if you have the hole for the cable already there ( I had to drill for mine since I was doing a conversion ).
The height was ok for me since it was lower than the height of my Hurst T-5 shifter. I found it easy to use and since my TH350 had a manual valve body, shift kit, etc. shifting from 1 to 2 to 3, was a breeze.
My wife even loved it when she drove it down the track. I told her when to shift (RPM), and she ran 14 flat at 100mph her first ever pass at the track.
I am back to the T-5 now so can't take any pics for you, but they are nice.

Install is easy, just follow the instructions. The shifter is worthless IMO with a stock trans and that boot looks uber-goofy.
