700r4 to T-56 auto shifter cables
I'm swapping a t-56 in for my 700r4 and there are two cables that run to the auto shifter. One goes to the transmission (already removed), and one goes under the driver side carpet, under the dash, and plugs into a bracket bolted to the steering column. There are 3 plugs that run to this bracket mounted to the steering column and I know one is the switch for the brights, but I dont know what the other two plugs directly over the steering column are for. Should I get rid of the cable that runs to the steering column or leave it in? If I do get rid of the cable, what about the plugs that connect to the column?
Please help cause I'm stuck!

just tuck it under the carpet. It is the ignition lock for the shifter. It's function is to lock the shifter unless the key is engaged and turned to the ACC position.
