I put a T-5 in my car its out of a v6 car but I got it in there and 1234 gear work fine. I have no reverse or 5th gear. So I pull the tranny out get it apart and everything is hooked up right. What is a good price for someone to rebuild this thing? I suck when it comes to trannys!!!

 

sounds like someone took the torx bolt out of the driver side.. just rip it back out and check it out. If you take that bolt out all hell breaks loose and you loose 5 and reverse. most people do it trying to drain it. .. a rebuild is about 150 if you do it yourself and thats including the manual to show you step by step how to do it.

 

 

I got it all apart The torx screw was still intact the clip was still on there I didnt take it all the way out. Everything looks clean in there I dont understand why I didnt have 5th and reverse? Does that torx screw need to be tight for those gears to function?
