700 R 4 transmission
I have a 1985 Iroc z with with a 305 tpi and a 700 r 4 transmission in it.Is there anyway telling which transmission I have without taking it out.Is is a 27 spline or a 30 spline thanks, Scott Overmann

If the code stamped into the case confirms that it is an 85 model year trans, It is a 30 spline. Most 84's had 27 spline. 30 spline units came out late in the 84 model year.
