Hi folks, nice place here. My first post and I am Curious as to what replacement Tranny, ya all think I should use in my 1991 Suburban. I can get a stock Rebuild 700r4 from the chevy dealer for $1190, 3yr 75000 mile warranty... A Mad Dog brand "gangster" for $1025, stage 2 shift valve body, 9 clutches instead of factory five, billet servo, one year unlimited miles. A rebuild of my blown for around $700- 900. I run highway miles quite a bit and would like to be able to tow without straining the tranny. I also run on the beach sands for miles at a time chasing sharks and fish, so I am looking for a strong tranny. I thought the Mad dog sounded pretty good. Anyone ever use a Mad dog brand tranny? What other options do ya all know of that ya can share with me. ? Thanks.

do a net search for Raptor 700R4. That'll get you to PATC's web-site. From everything I've played with(including the trans going into my 4wd 95 burban) they're the best. They know what they're talking about, and will tell you what you need to make it take what you intend on doing.
