700r4 to t56
i have a 1991 rs with a 350 tbi(soon to be carb) and 700r4 and im more to the shifting so i am planning on getting a t5 from my friend and all the parts cause he is doing just the oposite but the problem is he lives a couple states away so i was wandering if anyone had somthing like a parts list and if you could help explane how to put it back in cause it seams it all comes out easier than it goes in

I am assuming you are putting in a 5 speed and not a 6 speed. The T-5 is a very simple swap. You will need the crossmember, pedal assembly, and hydraulic assembly from the donor car. It is quite literally a bolt in job. Just take your time cutting the floor board for the shifter and the firewall for the master cylinder and you will be fine.

No I don't. The best thing to do is take some measurements of your friends car and transfer them over. As far as the master cylinder goes, there should be an area in the firewall insulation where a master cylinder would go. You can use this as a guide.

the master cylinder itself has a bracket that bolts to the brake booster, then you'll need to cut a hole for the clutch petal linkage to the clutch master cylinder. there are a few good write ups on here.
