I have a 95 t-56 in my 85 trans am , i have a centerforce dual friction clutch kit in there now, the other day i jumped on the accerator and felt the clutch slip a little, dint think anything of it, figured just got hott.( was racing a bunch of streat bikes.... 600s
) later that night went to the local cruis spot, some import decided to do a ***** fly by, was crusin on the highway, droped to 2nd gear relized was too low, tryed to put it in 3rd, and my pedal was rock hard. after towing it home
pulled the tranny and found the presure plate slung all the counter weights inbetwean the presure plate and housing. has this happend to anyone else. And does anyone sugest a better clutch my car produces 490 rwh, un intercooled, once the intercooler is on im figureing on a few extra hp, and need a clutch thats streatable yet holds power well.

I have read about that before, maybe you should look into getting a Mcleod Street twin setup like me, seems to work fine so far and is supost to be good for 1000hp but it is pricey.
