i am fixing an 85 trans am and just finished rebuilding the motor and found that the kickdown/detent cable was cut off from the tranny. i found out the tranny is a GM 350 turbo. i'm having trouible finding a kickdown/detent cable that will fit that tranny and the 305 fuel injected motor. will that tranny work with that engine? or do i need to find a 700r4 or a 200r4 tranny for the car? i also have a 89 trans am 350 fuel injected engine, will the 350 turbo tranny work with that engine?

 

The trans will work fine with that engine. You'll probably have to use the regular T350/carb motor kick-down cable and modify it to hook-up to the efi throttle body.
