Transmission Slips
Could this be why my tranny slips?
THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SHIFT CONTROL CABLE CAN SEPARATE.Consequence Summary:SEPARATION OF THE TRANSMISSION SHIFT CABLE CAN PREVENTTHE TRANSMISSION FROM BEING SHIFTED INTO THE PROPER POSITION. THIS CONDITION CANCAUSE UNEXPECTED VEHICLE MOVEMENT WHEN THE TRANSIMISSION INDICATOR IS IN PARK ORNEUTRAL POSITION AND THE TRANSMISSION IS IN A DRIVE MODE; THIS COULD RESULT INA VEHICLE CRASH WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING.Corrective Summary:THE DEALER WILL REPLACE THE SHIFT CABLE.

not likely. if your tranny is slipping, check your fluid level and your tv cable adjustment. if they are good, the problem is internal and will need servicing soon
the shift cable doesn't have a lot to do with shift characteristics. if your tranny is engaging in forward, reverse, neutral, and park good, then it isn't your shift cable.
