Car: dodge omni
Engine: 2.2 L turbo
stalls?

does any body has a stall on there third gen, if so what ard some pros and cons of them, not sure if this is the right place to ask this if so sorry bout that

Engine: 350TPI w/ Speed Density
Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: Borg warner 3.27
If you're talking about a stall converter, then everyone has one. They come stock, its just at what RPM it stalls at is what people are concerned with. Mine is stock, and IIRC stock converters stall at 1200RPM or something.

Indeed, everyone has a stall, i believe the stall was slightly higher in different models, irocs, z28s, rs's etc... in any case the stock is around 1200
Mine is currently at 2500 and i find it to be right in the middle, not just for the street, but not just for the track either.. some guys are running 3500 and higher around here for street and spin their tires everytime they take off from a red light

it all depends on your engine/trans/gearing combination. Higher stall can and will improve performance, but not if you go past your vehicle's powerband.
- post this in the tranmission and driveline board for more responses, but do a search first, as this has been covered many times before....

I agree w/shagwell the proper stall is the key to impressive 60 ft. times. The right stall allows your car to take off in the peak torque band for optimal performance.
