th400 strange noise wen shifting at 93-100mph

Hey!

I drive 6 to 8 thimes thru Germany every year. That is aprox. 350 miles speed free motorway and 350 miles of normal speed limitted motorway.

And this is the second thime I go with a 91-92trans-am 5L tbi automatic.

From 100mph up this cars are wery loud not the engine, but the wind!!! you cant really listen to music at that speed.

The first thime we went with my brothers 92trans-am coupe, was speed limitted at 114mph. Still fun, but almost every car drives that fast and down hill some very crapy cars drive even faster, lol, so no comment.

This summer we went with my 91trans-am t-top with a 240mph speedlimitted performance chip from tbichips.com.

First try did not get over 114mph, in 3 gear at 4000rpm 114mph wen it switched to 4 ger, was like blocked.

Second try 118mph couldent continnue because of traffic.

From the third try on I drowe in total around 1 hour and 1/2 from 118mph to 125 during the entire trip, at least the money for the chip was not wasted.

But, I noticed that every thime it changed from 3 to 4 gear at 93-100mph it soundet like wwoouuumm! IS THAT NORMAL?
