I have an '88 firebird formula. I have heard this was the year that GM changed to a different spline on the F-bodys. Is there a way to tell the spline on my firebird? Thanks

If you have a 10 bolt diff, you have 26 spline axles. If you have a 9 bolt diff, you have special 28 spline 9 bolt axles. They are not interchangable.
GM switched to 28 spline 10 bolt axles in 1990 although a few late in the year 1989's may also have 28 splines.
