Hi there!!! I had a technical question for you guys if you could help me out. I am doing a similar swap as many you have completed. I have a 1991 Camaro that had a 305 TBI engine with the WC T-5 transmission. The question I have is in regards to the clutch fork necessary to perform the swap. I purchased a LT1 flywheel and SPEC stage 1 clutch for the T-5 LT1 set-up. The problem at the moment is that the stock clutch fork I have is not wide enough to go on the throwout bearing and the one they gave me from the dealer is not long enough. Which clutch and clutch fork set-up did you guys use in your swap? Thanks!!!

You don't need any LT1 stuff at all for doing that.
Just put the 305 setup back on the LT1, just like it was.
Doesn't matter if the transmission is "WC" :barf: or not.
Use the 305 bell housing, flywheel, transmission, hydraulics, clutch, and fork.
There is no such thing as so I have no clue what you might have there. The LT1 and the T-5 were never offered in the same vehicle. I'd suggest returning it all and getting something that DOES exist, and which WILL work; the 305 T-5 setup.
Don't forget to put a pilot bearing or bushing in the crank, if there's not already one there.
Just put the 305 setup back on the LT1, just like it was.

Ok, so the flywheel I purchased will be put into use. That's good because of the high mileage on the T-5 I am not sure how many times it has been resurfaced. My shadetree mechanic said that the problem he is having right now is that the throwout bearing on the clutch I bought is too wide for my existing T-5 clutch fork. I tried buying a new fork from the dealership and they gave me the one for the T-56 which fit the throwout bearing, but was too short. He said that he also "stabbed" the engine with the flywheel and clutch mounted on it and it sat in fine other than the problem with the clutch fork. I recall when I bought the clutch and the flywheel from the parts store that I researched the number spline on the input shaft of my T-5. Maybe it is the right clutch with the wrong throwout bearing....is that a possibility? I will get the measurements for the clutch I bought ASAP.

Don't bother.
You can't use a T-56 flywheel with a T-5; it's the wrong thickness. They don't mix & match. You can't use a T-56 clutch with T-5 hydraulics, because the hydraulics for a T-5 push the throwout toward the engine, but the hydraulics for a T-56 pull the throwout toward the transmission. The forks similarly don't interchange. It's all completely different.
Take all that LT1/T-56 stuff back, and get 305/T-5 stuff. New flywheel, new clutch, throwout, etc.; whatever you need to replace in order to renew it, just replace with T-5 stuff. Then re-use your existing 305 bell housing, fork, hydraulics, and transmission.
Done. That's all there is to it.
