would you want to keep using your posi unit? It would be a 2 series posi right? (assuming the 9 bolt does things the same way the 10 bolt does).

i guess i can find a 3 series carrier used on the classified forums what else do i need to get these installed and how much would it cost to be installed. I hear 3.70 might be alittle to much for tpi but i think it will do just fine.

lol, I upgraded my 2 series to a 3 series so I could go with a 3.73. And Its not cheap! I spent $800.00 when I was all done. Anything over a 3.08.....your going to need to upgrade to a series 3. This was all richmond parts that we installed also. So take your time and keep looking. If you can pick yourself up a used one and save some money, you might be better off.
yeah, you'll have to change carriers, which may be hard to find. Motive makes a good gear, and in their own catalogue they list the 3.70 for the 9-bolt, so I'd say any company that sells motive can get it. You will probably also need an "install kit" which will have new shims to set the proper tolerances with the new gear. Any decent install kit will also have a pinion bearing and possibly carrier bearings. The pinion bearing is almost a must, and when you're there you might as well change the carrier bearings to eliminate possible future problems.
