Lately I have noticed that my car is making a screetching noise when in 1st and 2nd mostly but sometimes 3rd. I checked the engine belts and they are fine. The noise only happens when I am accelerating slowly. When I accelerate harder the noise goes away.

Any ideas as to how the transmission could make this kind of noise?
