Do I need a new Transmission??

Axle/Gears: 2.77
Do I need a new Transmission??
For a 305 IROC 88-92 M5 stock transmission, do I need to upgrade the transmission to handle a 320hp 350? at what hp/torque range do i need to seriously consider putting a new transmission in. Its just a street driving car, no track time. any thoughts???

The T-5s will break with the 305.. a 350 conversion is asking for trouble , it's not the HP it's the torque that will brake the trans, if you go really easy on it I have seen the T-5 last a while with a stock 350 but the stock trans is usually junk with over 300HP/300fpt

Transmission: T-5 (Non-WC)
Axle/Gears: Limited Slip 3.23's
My car never sees the track either. Nevertheless, I worried over this issue for some time before I swapped in a 350/330 HO Deluxe to front a non-WC T5. I've encountered no problems (and your T5 should be a bit stronger than mine) and don't expect to based on the fashion in which I drive.
