what do I have for a rear?

I have a 1988 camaro 2.8 standard tranny, how many spline are the axles, are they 26 or 28?and does anyone know the gears that are in it?and also would it be a series one or series two carrier?
I also have a 5.0 83 camaro auto tranny.would the carrier be the same in that as it is in the 88 v6?

1988 Camaro 2.8 manual tranny has 26 spline axles and 3.42 gears. Should be a series 3 carrier.

1983 Camaro 5.0 auto tranny will depend on the model. It will have 26 spline axles but the gear ratio can be 3.08 for the base models and 3.23 or 2.93 for the Z28 version

Btw, there's no such thing as a one series carrier, only 2 and 3 series. 2 series covers 2.73, 3.08 ratios, three series covers 3.23, 3.42, and 3.73 ratios. You can go bigger with a 3 series carrier (3.90,4.10), but the above ratios are what were offered from the factory.
