I have a very low mile 88 Sportcoupe, Come stock with a tbi 305 and the 700r4. Im wanting to swap the motor out to a motor i have sitting around. Im not sure on the horse power output of it but im hoping my trans will hold up for a while. The car will get a lunchbox locker and wont have anything stickier then a stock street tire. the motor specs are as follows

30 over 350
around 10 to 1 compression with ported stock heads,
Domed Speedpro slugs
Crane energizer 282h
Eddy RPM intake and a holley 600 vacuum secondary carb.
It will end up with longtubes and a decent exhaust after the swap.

I want to run a stall also, can anyone recommend one for a camaro with stock size tires and 3.23 rear gears? Also do i have to use a lockup converter? i dont really mind keeping it but there is a decent price jump between lockup and non lock up converters.
