Okay. I have a couple of T-5 questions for you guys.

What kind of tranny fluid does an 83 t-5 take? Gear oil or dexron?

Does anyone know where to find a speedometer calibration box for a t-5 electronic speedo?

83 uses gear lube. I'd recommend the 75W-90 synthetic kind, such as Mobil 1.

 

All you need for calibrating the speedo is the right gear combination. Even the electric speedos still use gears to establish the correct speed.

 

Where can I get the gears from for an electronic speedo? I have 3.73 gears.

 

How much gear oil does the t-5 take?

 

fill until it starts to run out of the fill hole or until you can touch it with your finger. I am not sure the exact amount. probally around 2.5 quarts..
