lo3 rear end gears

Engine: 305tbi
Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: 3.27 9bolt
lo3 rear end gears
what gears should i run if i plan on getting a full exhaust(hedders to exhaust tips), high flow air filter, maybe new intake manifold, posi unit and lt1 cam? or just with a stock lo3 with 700r4 tranny? like to get more accel but not lose too much top end. thanks alot

3.42 gears give you more low end punch without losing too much top end. You can't have both unfortunatly. Badman
I ran 3.42's behind my L03/700r4 and loved them. Great acceleration and they still worked fine for long freeway trips too. I'm running 3.23's now, and they're really decent too. Any ratio is better than the pathetic 2.73's that came in these cars stock!
