What year(s) camaro / Firebird(T/A) had posi?

Engine: 2.8L V6
Transmission: factory
Axle/Gears: factory
What year(s) camaro / Firebird(T/A) had posi?

basicly waht the title said im lookin at buying another 3rd gen and i want one with posi
(i used search method came up blank)
please help me (im new to this)

Axle/Gears: 12-Bolt 3.73
All Trans Ams, Z28's, and Formulas could have posi's. The base models almost always do not have posi rears.

look for all wheel disc brakes

anything could have a posi. like kevin said look at the ones more likely to have it but you never know for sure. i wouldn't get hung up on not buying what i wanted based on what was between the two axles, that's easy to change.

alright cool thanks guys
im in the market for an iroc-z, T/A, or Z/28
my firebird right now is a v6 and i want a bigger engine

but thanks for the heads up how easy is it to change a car into posi? dont you have to like change the rear differential and axle?

You change the carrier (the part the ring gear is attached to) to a posi one... you will also need a shim kit and some marking paint (some knowhow too) in order to set your gear lash right.
