1 wheel burnout with posi..........
Just bought a 88 GTA, it has the 350 tpi , rear disks, 3.27 ratio 9 bolt with the rear posi. The car has 140K on it, should the limited slip be wore out this bad? If I am at a dead stop on level ground and I hold the brake and floor it the right rear will light up like im on Ice. I want this baby to hook. if I am turning the inside tire will leave a blaze of smoke. I hate it.
Is there any way to rebuilt the clutches? were can i buy that stuff for a 9 bolt?

idk, i had the same problem and i found out the guy that had the car before me took the pin or clip or whatever it was out so he could enter the car into a burnout contest and just never put it back in. so maybe thats ur problem.

See the tech article here:

The cones do wear out in 9-bolts. Then you have to shim them so they maintain contact and continue to turn both wheels.
