Gear discussion

ordering a strange eng. rear end next week, last minute cold feet on gears. at first i had my heart set on 5.14's, but lately my friends have been trying to talk me out of it, something more streetable? but i am running a 12.5:1 small block anyone run this gear with a th350 tranny? also i have a 6200 stall converter. i am running 4.10, now and deff would like a little more, but is 5.14 too much??? friends reccomend 4.88, or 4.56. open to all input that will help me with a final decission

take it to the track before you swap gears and find out what trap speed and rpm you're crossing the line at once you dial everything in. Otherwise it'll just be peeing in the wind for us to guess.

well........the rear thats in the car now is shot. think i should go with a 4.88? a little more forgiving it just seems silly because 4.88 to 5.14 seems so close, like the difference to a driver wouldnt even be noticed right?
