I just picked up a never used TCI Comp. Th350 wiht manual reverse valvebody. Can i use a stock auto/man standard valvebody in its place with a shift kit and add a modulator and sitll have it all work. Ive been told yes by a few but i wnat to make sure. Thanks

If you had the reverse pattern valve body, you most likely will not have the 2nd gear band (no engine braking in 2nd gear). This could be potentially a big problem, as you could possibly break the intermediate sprag.

 

How would i know if i had it? I have a valvebody, governor, and modulator ready for it. How hard would that be to do?

 

Do you know if it had 2nd gear braking from the former owner?
