700R4 for racing
Here's the deal. I want to build my 700r4 to handle some mild racing duty. Something like going to the track twice a month. I know this tranny is not the best choice for the strip but the car will be on the street most of the time so I really want the overdrive. Specs on the car are in the sig minus the T-5 trans of course. With that being said here is a list of what I have so far. I want to be able to hit the gas and not let up until I've hit the end of the track. What else do I need?
-3000 stall lockup converter
-TransGo reprogramming kit
-Corvette Servo
-Tranny cooler
I've been reading and I believe I am going to need some sort of kit to enable 3-4 wot shifts and maybe something to control the rpm's of the shifts like a governor kit.
Any suggestion would be very helpful.

If you choose your parts right, the 700R4 will handle all but the most powerful dual purpose machines...These are great trannys, I dont see why the get a bad rap....Who on the board has the quickest 700R4 car???? How long has it held up??? Also what are the tricks for making them last????? Didnt mean to pirate the thread, but I am curious also...Tom
