I heard that the rear U-joint will not be the same on pre 88 cars, and will not fit! I have an aluminum LS1 shaft with the original LS1 u-joints in place. Will this bolt up to the rear end, or will I have some issues? Thanks

some have issues, some don't. i had a 9-bolt in my '87(which got transferred to my '91) nad the LS1 shaft i got fit in with no problems. unfortunately a misplaced e-brake cable did it in

Test fit it and see. FYI, I had to swap another U into my 1LE shaft for it to fit my 85 IROC.

I bolted an 98-02 al d/s into my 83 T/A w/7.5 10 bolt with no problem, using the original u-joints that came with the newer shaft.
