I am a very mechanicaly inclinded person and I really want to learn automatics. I have been looking and looking at rebuild kits and dont know what to get or what special tools i will be needing.
What I will be doing with the car is the occasional drag and of course just drivin ghard on the street. I want a manual/automatic valve body and will be running the stock engine for now but will be pushing around 300hp to the wheels plus a 100shot on that pretty soon.


I just need something that will hold up, and give me very very snappy shifts.

ALso what videos and or manuals are best?

I can help you out here. I have the DVD and ATSG build books for these transmissions. The Street/Strip rebuild kit is the one that will work best here. Do you have a torque converter in mind? Give me a call, and I will answer any questions you might have on this.
