one quick question

ok so i found this part online. from what i read it will let you stay in fourth gear upto 90% throttle. what do you all think?

"700R4 full throttle 3-4 up-shift sleeve. Now you can have a full throttle 3-4 shift. At 80 MPH it takes 90% throttle to make a 4-3 downshift. Can be installed without removing the valve body. The Up-shift Sleeve also eliminates part throttle 4-3 downshift for less gear searching. This is an extra option on the 700 Raptor. Not recommended for motors over 250 horse power. Cost $49.00"

Re: one quick question

Re: one quick question

You want to be running through the traps at your redline in 3rd. If you're running faster than that, you should get some numerically lower gears for your differential.

Re: one quick question

4th gear is a .75 gear you wnat to be in 3rd (1:1)at your peak rpm going through the traps. if you need fourth you need to step down your gearing.

Re: one quick question

i think you should try 3.42's. the 3.73's will probably suck because you will end up in 4th way before the traps. some ppl like it but if you also like to drive highway, id go with the 3.42's.

Re: one quick question

You have 3.23 gears now? What rpm are you going through the traps in?
