Here is the situation. I have a 1992 Formula with 10bolt disc rear. The axles were shot (pitting in the races) so I put the axles from a 1991 drum brake rear car in. They did not seem to fit right. Had a problem with the rotor hitting the stationary caliper support bracket.

I called GM and asked about the axles. Apparentlyt here are two different part numbers for axles for a disc rear and a drum rear. Has anyone run into this before? Part number for drum rear is 26031251. For disc rear it is 26034018. Problem is, the disc brake part number is no longer available from GM. No dealership has been able to locate so far. They all say there is "zero stock" in the computer.

Does anyone know if the disc axle and the drum axle have different offsets?

Since I cannot locate GM axles, I was thinking about Moser axles but they only list one part number for GM 10-bolt rear. Will I run into the same problem?

I have these in a 91 or 92 PBR disc brake rear; work great.
