Need to add fluid to a T-5 (Any tips?)
Hey Guys,
I need to add some fluid to the Borg-Warner T-5 in my Iroc.
Any ideas or tips for the best method?
Thanks in advance for your help!
Brian

the best and easyest way is to get one of the caps off a rear end fluid bottle the ones with the hose comeing off it. i think the sell the cap itself too.
open the top plug and tip bottle of fluid in.
after that put your finger in the hole and see if you can feal the fluid.

Ive always just used a small hand pump, with thick differential fluid it can take awhile and get aggrivating but with tranny fluid its fine. I know a lot of people take the center console boot off then remove the shifter and dump it in there but that definently takes me longer time. Running a hose to the top ive never tried seems like it might get messy that way.

imo the best way is to just remove the uppper drain plug and fill it through the shifter, makes life alot easier and no need to lift it in the air
