2.93 rear axle # of drive teeth?

I'm trying to get my speedo working properly as it's about 20-25mph off (higher) than where it should be. I have an '82 TA w/ a turbo350 tranny, chevy 350 engine, stock 2.93 rear axle & p215/65r/15 tires (26" diameter). I've seen the dfferent formula's to figure out which gear I need to get my speedo accurate, but need the # of drive teeth? Any help?

I have never heard of a stock 2.93 rear axle. They're either 2.73 or 3.08.

This thread will help you with those two choices:

Confirmed the rear axle number with a Pontiac dealership & one other well-known 3rd gen TA restorer. The code inscripted on the front, passenger side axle is 2PXC1042. Rear code (PX) says I have a 2.93. PZ would have been a 3.23.
