I have an 89 RS with a 300Hp 350 and and Eaton Posi and 3.73's. I make great power and have told myself for a long time i need a shift kit to fix my lame shifts. I am aware the Trans-Go kit is the best, but is also Very Complicated to install.I am not comfortable installing this kit and dont want to pay a shop to put it in. I have interest in the B&M Transpack, and The Trans-Go Jr. Kit. The Trans-Go Jr. Kit i am realy in the fog about, I dont know much of it's functions, is it easy to install? lots of Parts? Help?? Cany anyone recommend something with good Results?

 

transgo is the best. don't waste money on anything else. the transgo jr. kits addresses a lot of the problems with these transmissions but doesn't do anything to to really tune the transmission. the full transgo kit isn't that difficult if you have any mechanical aptitude. look up dana on this board. he goes by Pro Built Automatics. he has a kit that combines the jr. andthe full version plus has the vette servo i think. his instructions are also more detailed from what i understand.

Are you looking for the Performance setup? or a Heavy Duty kit? The HD is much simpler to install, but will not let you hold 1st gear to any rpm. If you let it shift on its own (leaving it in overdrive), then the HD kit will do just about what you want. I add the Corvette servo to the HD kit along with the larger boost valves. Let me know if I can be of help?

 

How much is that HD kit? What about manual/automatic shifting?
