The Ultimate Shift Kit For 700r4 -
I have purchased and installed a shift kit that made my automatic a stick shift. No more TV adjustment. No more automatic up shifting and downshifting. Every gear is manually shifted. I can start off in OD if I wanted (no reason why). This is the shift kit I always wanted. TRANSGO reprogramming kit #700-2&3 "Stick Shift Option."
This sounds like an advertisement. I'm just finally happy that something I bought really made a difference.
If you do this kit, read all of the directions before you even touch your car. Some things are tricky.
Also try to purchase and install a corvette shift-servo. And don't overfill the tranny like I did and get black flagged from the drag strip for leaking oil.

It's called a manual valvebody and has been around for years. The downside is they are not very street oriented and can lead to the death of a trans if not operated properly, especially those that eliminate the tv cable, thus running max pressure all the time.
It should also be said that the vette servo is ok, but a billet would be much better for a hi-po application.

My TV adjustment is exactly where I left it, before I did the kit. At least now I never have to fool with it.
This kit is amazing. It honestly shifts like a manual. No waiting for the gear to apply. Very positive shifts.
And very consistant.
As far as everyday use..I would run it.

FYI, the transgo kit includes a vett servo, so no need to purchase one seperately.

Not the kit I purchased. There was a paper advertising the servo in the box.
