2.8L transmission good for anything?

I have a trans off a 2.8 s10 motor. Not sure if its a 200r4 or 700. The bellhousing bolt pattern looks a little different from a small block. Is it? Is this trans good for anything?

It will hold tarps down in your yard that cover the "good" parts!

Seriously, it is a 700R4 (if it is a 4 speed) and it will work in third gens with 4cyl or V6 engines if you switch the tailshaft housing for one of ours with the torque arm mount bolt holes. The bellhousing pattern should be flat across the top and it fits "metric" bolt pattern GM engines. Metric engines are most front wheel drive 4 and 6 cylinder engines (except the Quad4) and the V8 engines from front wheel drive cars using the Cadillace HT4100/4500 and northstar family (including Olds Aurora)

The 2.8 700r4 has the same hard parts re planets etc as the V8 version so its a good source for hard parts. Everyhing is not the same but many things are. And becaue they were behind a small engine they are ussually in really good shape

So its worthless then. I dont plan on ever using a 700 in anything, so its off to ebay. Perhaps I can sell it for a dollar and someone will take it off my hands with the motor.
